Wall Inc
Wall Inc est un projet de fresques urbaines commandité chaque année par la ville de Perth à une poignée de plasticiens locaux, visant à faire redécouvrir aux habitants les ruelles de la City, quadrillée par quatre artères principales.
Attirés par le graphisme décalé de Clare McFarlane – visible depuis Hay Street Mall, que l’on pratique quasiment tous les jours -, nous avons fini par remonter tranquillement la piste…
Légèrement sur notre faim, nous avons prolongé la balade en mode freestyle, l’art du graffiti étant, à Perth comme dans le reste de l’Australie, abondamment et superbement pratiqué, bien qu’encore illégal. Et on se surpend à souhaiter que les taggeurs français soignent davantage leur style…

Wall Inc is a new City of Perth initiative to commission professional practising artists, inviting them to translate their work from a Studio/Gallery setting to a public open-air space, connecting with urban spaces and its community, to the physicality of the walls, the building use and surrounds.
The 2011 series commissioned four practising Western Australian artists: Penny Bovell, Susan Flavell, Caspair Fairhall and Clare McFarlane. Eye-catched by the graphism of Clare McFarlane, we decided to follow up the track… and ended by going off, as usual, back to street art wildness.
